Drugs, contraband tobacco seized during roadside stop in Acadie Siding

A 57-year-old man from Collette has been arrested following the seizure of drugs, contraband tobacco, and cash during a roadside stop in Acadie Siding.

The RCMP's Tactical Traffic Enforcement Unit stopped a car on Highway 126 around 9 p.m. on February 23rd.

Police say officers noticed contraband tobacco inside, and a search of the vehicle uncovered what are believed to be methamphetamine tablets, as well as other drugs.

The man was taken into custody and has since been released, with a court date scheduled in Moncton for June 25th.
