Eel River Bar First Nation elects new mayor and councillors
There's a new chief for the Eel River Bar First Nation.
Sacha Labillois-Kennedy was elected chief earlier this month and is
The 42-year-old mother of our served as a councillor for the past two years.
Labillois-Kennedy says she decided to run for chief in order to enact positive changes to her community's administration.
Derek Mulchahy, Ron Simonson, John Jake Caplin, Mitchell Harquail, Mike Simonson, and Ryan Narvie were elected councillors.
Labillois-Kennedy and her councillors will officially be sworn in on June 24th.
