Electric school buses to be tested in New Brunswick
Students in New Brunswick could end up being driven to school on electric school buses.
Transportation and Infrastructure minister Bill Fraser says a pilot project could begin as early as next year and that two such busses will be tested in the Fredericton area.
But Green Party leader David Coon says the pilot project isn't ambitious enough and that each school district should test two busses.
The province had 64 electric vehicles in its fleet last year and plans to add another five this year.
