Employees complain of toxic work environment in unit at Chaleur Regional Hospital
Some employees at the Chaleur Regional Hospital say they're over-worked, under-staffed and face a toxic work environment.
The workers tell the Acadie-Nouvelle that bullying by some managers in the hospital's long-term care unit is commonplace and that there are around 15 employees out on sick leave, while a dozen have quit over the past year.
They're worried about what effect the environment could have on patients.
Vitalite Health Network's Thomas Lizotte says an internal investigation is under way and that it's important for staff to be able to work in a safe, healthy environment.
