Enfant-Jesus Hospital Foundation surpasses 2018 fundraising goal
The Enfant-Jesus Hospital Foundation has surpassed its fundraising goal for 2018.
Campaign chair Melanie Chiasson says a total of $107,687.00, far exceeding the foundation's $90,000 goal.
The money will be used for improvements to several departments at the Enfant-Jesus Hospital while some of the funds will be contributed to a major modernization project at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst.
The Enfant-Jesus Hospital Foundation aims to raise funds in support of the Enfant-Jesus Hospital in order to improve health care services provided to the community.
Meanwhile, for the first time in the foundation's history, a donation was announced towards the creation of an endowment fund.
The $5,000 donation from the National Bank has resulted in a $2,500 donation to the hospitals Oncology Department as well as an endowment fund under the name of: Funds in memory of Yvonne Clement.
Clement held several positions over her nursing career.
Clement's sister, Diane Blanchard, says the fund is a dream come true and that she wanted to recognize her sister's devotion to her work.
