Engineer seeks to clear name in deadly 2013 train derailment

The engineer of a train that derailed resulting in a deadly explosion in the Quebec town of Lac Megantic in 2013 is looking to clear his name.

Tom Harding wants the case to go to trial so he can give his side of the story so his lawyer is dropping a stay of proceedings motion.

Harding and two others face 47 counts of criminal negligence causing death.

The explosion killed 47 people and levelled much of Lac Megantic's downtown core.
