Environment Canada warns of potential for minor flooding along Bay of Chaleur
Get out your rubber boots and hold on!
A special weather statement from Environment Canada says we can expect approximately 10 millimetres of rain this afternoon accompanied by winds gusting to 80 km/h along parts of the coast.
Higher than normal water levels are expected near high tide this afternoon and into the early evening.
The department says that could result in minor flooding for communities along the Bay of Chaleur, particularly along the Acadian coast from Miscou Island southward to Tracadie.
