Environment Canada warns of winter storm for Chaleur region
'Old Man Winter' isn't ready to loosen his icy grasp on us just yet.
Environment Canada has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Chaleur region and says we can expect 10 to 15 centimetres of snow accompanied by high winds tonight and into Wednesday.
More wind and another 15 to 25 centimetres of snow are expected tomorrow but the department says up to 40 centimetres could fall in some areas.
Public Safety Canada meanwhile, is encouraging New Brunswickers to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.
