Ex-firefighters say unhealthy work environment at Tracadie department dragged on for years

Some of Tracadie's former firefighters say problems within the department began long before its ex-chief and public safety director was hired.

Last week former chief and public safety director Denis Savoie alleged there was a conspiracy to have him fired after he went public about problems within the department.

Former firefighter Raoul McGraw says Savoie did the right thing in going public and that an unhealthy work environment existed prior to his arrival in 2015.

Savoie is calling for an investigation into how Tracadie runs its fire department while former firefighter Paul Allain believes council has let the situation drag on for too long.
