Federal Tory leadership candidate slams rivals

(CP) - Federal Tory leadership candidate Lisa Raitt has launched an assault on two prominent rivals she says could destroy the party if elected;  even though one hasn't even announced his candidacy.

Lisa Raitt says she's confident Canadians will return the Conservatives to power if they select a principled leader who offers sensible policies.

But yesterday she slammed candidate Kellie Leitch and possible candidate, celebrity businessman Kevin O'Leary, saying both hold divisive views that would kill the Tories' chances of winning the next election.

Raitt ridiculed O'Leary as a T-V entertainer with no filter, and condemned Leitch for embracing Donald Trump's anti-immigrant message.
