First measles case of the year reported in New Brunswick
The first case of measles this year has been reported in New Brunswick.
Acting Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr.Jennifer Russell says this case may be connected to a minor outbreak in Nova Scotia.
Measles is a serious, highly contagious illness and the Bathurst native says health officials have been closely monitoring the spread of infection in Nova Scotia.
Russell says it looks like almost all of the cases in Nova Scotia have been linked to international travel.
