First time's a charm for Acadie-Bathurst Wrestling Club at Cadet Juvenile Championships in Ontario

The Acadie-Bathurst Wrestling Club has returned from the 2017 Cadet Juvenile Canadian Wrestling Championships with some hardware.

It was a first crack at a national competition for the 12 athletes who ended up with four medals:  two gold, one silver and a bronze.

The team nailed down a ranking of 9th out of 27 teams in the Greco Roman cadet category.

Annabelle Boudreau won the Cadet Trial tournament to become Canadian champion and will represent the country in the 43kg category at the Pan-American games being held this summer in Argentina.

Boudreau finished the weekend without a single point scored against her.

The championships were held in Windsor, Ontario from April 7th to 9th.
