Five people displaced by fire at Campbellton apartment building

Five people are temporarily homeless after fire damaged an eight-unit apartment building in downtown Campbellton.

The Canadian Red Cross says Tuesday's blaze on St. Louis Street caused extensive damage to one apartment while the two other units received smoke or water damage.

Volunteers have arranged for emergency lodging for five adults as well as purchases of food, personal-care items and winter clothing.

There were no reported injuries.
