Former nurse wants WorkSafeNB to hold stakeholder meetings in northern NB

WorkSafeNB is meeting with stakeholders today in Fredericton to talk about the rising costs of benefits which resulted in a hike in employer-paid premiums this year.

The meeting is one of several planned by the agency, and a former nurse at the Campbellton Regional Hospital wants to see one held in the northern part of the province.

Pauline Diotte now sits on an injured workers advisory committee and tells CBC that she wasn't even invited to the Fredericton gathering.

She says she can't afford to travel in order to voice her concerns to shareholders.

WorkSafeNB has yet to choose locations for future meetings.
