Freezing rain & flash freeze warnings issued for Chaleur region
Looks like Mother Nature hasn't quite had her fill of mischief...
Environment Canada his issued freezing rain and flash freeze warnings for the Chaleur region.
The department warns of heavy rain Friday night and into Saturday, followed by a sudden drop in temperature.
The forecast says we can expect between 10 and 15 millimetres of rain Friday night with a low of -2C.
On Saturday, a sudden drop in temperature will see rain change over to snow and ice pellets, bringing an estimated 10 centimetres.
The warnings suggest ice-buildup could cause tree branches to break as well as cause utility outages.
