Governments announce investment for Coastal Zones Research Institute in Shippagan
The federal and provincial governments have announced an investment of nearly $917,000 for the Coastal Zones Research Institute in Shippagan.
A news release from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) says the institute will use the funding to implement a three-year plan focused on developing strategies in innovation, business development, and marketing.
It will also include the hiring of expertise as well as staff training.
The province has committed just over $463,000 towards the initiative, while the federal government is investing $453,000 under ACOA’s Innovative Communities Fund.
