Grande-Anse man sentenced to thirty months behind bars on child pornography charges

A Grande-Anse man has been sentenced to 30 months after pleading guilty earlier this week to child pornography charges.

29-year-old Richard Doiron was charged with possessing and distributing child pornography after police seized electronic devices containing more 1,600 images and 500 graphic videos from his home in September of 2017.

Doiron must also provide a DNA sample and will be registered as a sex offender for life.

He's also prohibited from being anywhere a person younger than 16 may be.
