Green Party Leader offers condolences on passing of Jocelyne Roy-Vienneau

New Brunswick Green Party, David Coon

Green party Leader David Coon says the news of the passing of the Honourable Jocelyne Roy-Vienneau, Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick, will be devestating for the thousands of new Brunswickers she touched.

Coon says, "Her Honour had the remarkable ability to make a direct connection with every audience to whom she spoke, and the response was always one of great affection for her and a heartfelt appreciation for her message.  I hope all New Brunswickers will reflect on a recurring theme of her speeches; that we celebrate who we are as indigenous peoples, Acadians, anglophones and newcomers, but we all must work to be one New Brunswick community."

He adds he will remember Roy Vienneau for her grace, and for her fierce passion for New Brunswickers and the province.

The Office of the Lieutenant Governor confirmed Roy-Vienneau passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday.
