Halifax Mooseheads edge Acadie-Bathurst Titan

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan may have dropped Tuesday's game against the Halifax Mooseheads, but they didn't go down without a fight.

Halifax edged the Titan 4 - 3 at the KC Irving Regional Centre in Bathurst.

There was much back-and-forth however the Titan's fate was sealed by a third period goal from Halifax's Justin Barron.

Newly appointed team captain Cole Rafuse, William Champagne, Anderson MacDonald, and Mathieu Samson each found the back of the Moosehead's net once while netminder Mark Grametbauer notched 40 saves.

Rafuse and Mathieu Desgagnes were named Second and Third Stars of the Game respectively.

Titan head coach Mario Durocher says it's clear his team has offensive talent, having scored four goals on a limited number of shots, but adds they need to focus on playing well in front of their own goalie.

The Titan are currently in last place in the league, four points shy of the Saint John.

QMJHL returns to the KC Irving Centre when the Titan hosts the Sea Dogs on Friday night.
