Halifax scores in final minute to down Acadie-Bathurst Titan

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan came back from a deficit to tie the Halifax Mooseheads Sunday, but the Mooseheads scored in the final minute of the game to down the Titan 6 - 5.

Titan newcomers Olivier Galipeau notched two goals while Cole Rafuse, Jeff Viel, and German Rubtsov chipped in a goal a piece.

Netminder Joseph Murdaca stopped four of seven shots while newcomer Evan Fitzpatrick made 18 saves.

Galipeau and Rubtsov were named First and Second Stars of the Game respectively.

Head coach Mario Pouliot says he was pleased with character shown by the Titan, but that giving up six goals in 28 shots will mean some adjustments will be made this week.

The loss sees the Titan drop to third place in the Maritime Division, seven points behind the first place Mooseheads.

Overall, the Titan fall to eight place, five points back of the fifth place Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.

Next stop for the Titan is Chicoutimi on Thursday.

QMJHL action returns to the KC Irving Centre in Bathurst on Saturday, January 20th, when the Titan entertains the Mooseheads.
