Health Minister recuses himself from decisions on the water-testing controversy at Parlee Beach
Health Minister Victor Boudreau says he'll no longer have any role in government decisions on the water-testing controversy at the province's most popular beach.
Boudreau has recused himself because there could be a perception of conflict of interest due to his stake in a proposed campground within the Parlee Beach area.
The beach has made headlines in recent months because of fecal contamination in the water.
Environment Minister Serge Rousselle will take over as acting health minister regarding any public health issues in the Parlee Beach and Shediac Bay areas.
