Health & safety of Acadian Peninsula paramedics not a priority for AmbulanceNB, union says

Ambulance New Brunswick says it will review its response to a devastating ice storm that knocked out power to thousands on the Acadian Peninsula two weeks ago.

Ambulance NB says it was a difficult situation and it aims to identify ways it can improve.

Meanwhile, the union representing paramedics in the province says the health and safety of paramedics on the Acadian Peninsula didn't seem like a priority for AmbulanceNB.

Northern Representative Yanick Mongeau says some paramedics worked with no power, heat, food or water--sometimes for up to 60 hours.
