Heat warning continues for Chaleur region

A heat warning continues for the Chaleur region.

Environment Canada says a warm and humid airmass will remain over much of the province Monday and into Tuesday.

Daytime highs are expected to reach 34 degrees on Monday before returning to seasonal normal on Tuesday.

The department says to watch for effects of heat illness like swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and the worsening of some health conditions.

It advises to drink plenty of water, even before feeling thirsty, and to stay in a cool place.
