Hospitality Days festival adds country music night to lineup
Dust off your cowboy boots.
Hospitality Days has added a country music night to its festival lineup.
Blackjack Billy, Hazard from Fredericton, and Canada's Got Talent finalist Ivan Daigle will play the Thursday night of the yearly festival.
Festival president Mike Skerry says citizens of the Chaleur region have been asking for a country night year after year and now the committee is pleased to deliver.
Another change for this year's festival is the elimination of 'Acadian Night'.
Skerry says attendance for Acadian Night has dropped over the past few years but adds the committee still wanted French music to be a part of the festival.
This year, Michel Pagliaro, Acadian-Folk group La Viree, and PEI Tragically Hip tribute band 'Fabulously Rich' will rock the tent for the festival's first bilingual entertainment night on Friday.
Matt Anderson & The Bona Fide, one of the most requested acts, along with Terry Whalen of Miramichi, and ZZ Top tribute band, 'Zed Zed Top', will wrap things up on Saturday night.
Hospitality Days runs July 14th to 22nd.
Skerry says a full festival program is expected mid June.
