Hundreds called for during duty in case man charged in the death of young Campbellton brothers

Jury selection gets under way next Monday in the case of a man charged in the 2013 death of two young Campbellton boys.

There were so many people called for consideration that proceedings are being held at the Campbellton Civic Centre.

Between 500 and 600 people were summoned, a number Sheriff Gabriel Desforges says is rare for the region, noting it had only happened one other time over the past 25 years.

Jean-Claude Savoie was charged after an African rock python escaped its enclosure and asphyxiated the young brothers.
