Investor-funded nursing home in Saint-Isidore would reduce wait time for seniors

A group of investors on the Acadian Peninula wants to build a new 60-bed nursing home in Saint-Isidore in an effort to cut down on the time seniors are waiting for beds.

There are around 70 seniors waiting for nursing home beds in the Tracadie and Saint-Isidore area alone.

The home is being funding by the investors and will be managed by the Villa St. Joseph.

Profits are expected to be reinvested in the home and community.

Saint-Isidore mayor Oscar Roussell says the group isn't asking the government for money, only help with getting the necessary permits.
