Liberal policies, plans discussed at biennial convention in Chaleur region

The Chaleur region hosted hundreds Liberals from all over New Brunswick over the weekend for the party's biennial convention.

Members of the party voted on more than 30 motions and discussed topics like a guaranteed basic income pilot project, pay equity in the private sector and increased funding for daycares.

Post Secondary Education Minister and Treasury Board Chair Roger Melanson says the topics will serve as a guide in developing the Liberal's election platform ahead of September's provincial election.
