Lobster prices remain below harvesters' expectations
Lobster harvesters in Northeast New Brunswick are still unsatisfied with what they're being paid for their catch.
After three weeks on the water, fishers are getting between $5.50 and $6.00 a pound.
Rejean Comeau, the New Brunswick president of the Maritime Fishermen's Union says harvesters were hoping the price would stabilize to between $6.00 and $6.50.
Meanwhile, after a slow start to the season landings have returned to normal.
Comeau says harvesters shouldn't expect historic highs, but similar results to last year.
