Local cyclists gear up for 650 km fundraising challenge

Several local cyclists are gearing up for the annual Tour of Hope, a 650 kilometre ride from Edmundston to Moncton which aims to raise money for specialized equipment and continuous training of highly specialized teams at the Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Centre in Moncton.

Many took part in a group training ride in Bathurst over the weekend.

Louise Thibodeau of Bathurst says it was a great way for the group to get to know each other as well as measure their fitness level for the event.

The Tour of Hope runs from July 27 to 30.
