Local dancers earn spot at Canadian Highland Dance Championships in Calgary

Some local dancers proved they had the right moves at the Atlantic Highland Dance Championships in Moncton over the weekend.

Sadie Breau of Neguac won in the 12 and 13 year old category while Genevieve Breau, also of Neguac, took top spot in the 14 and 15 year old division.

Bathurst's Larissa Godin was the winner among 18 to 21 year olds.

Next stop for the dancers is the Canadian Highland Dance championships being held in Calgary in July.

Ann Landry, of The Landry School of Dance, says the Calgary competition will be an excellent prelude to next near's Canadian championships being held in Moncton.
