Man accused in Belledune standoff returns to court Wednesday
A 49 year old man charged in connection with a standoff in Belledune is back in court on Wednesday.
Dick Carrier was arrested in April after RCMP received a complaint about a man who had made threats to someone over the phone, leading police to a home on Main Street.
Police said there was no sign of explosives or firearms at the scene.
Carrier was charged with two counts of uttering threats and was sent for a 30-day psychiatric assessment.
