Man admits to stealing TV from Burnsville home
Police say a Caraquet man has admitted to breaking into a home in Burnsville and stealing a flat screen television.
Mounties say they were called to a home on chemin Burnsville last Thursday afternoon after the homeowner was alerted by his dog that someone had entered his home.
According to police, the homeowner saw a red van quickly leaving his driveway and noticed that a television was missing.
Police say they stopped a red van on Boulevard Sainte-Pierre West shortly after and found the TV inside.
They also arrested a 61-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman, both from Caraquet.
Candide Duguay pleaded guilty Tuesday to break and enter and possession of stolen property, and will be sentenced later in August.
The woman was later released from custody and will appear in court in December.
