Man charged in connection with aggravated assault
RCMP say a 35-year-old Dalhousie man is charged with aggravated assault after an incident at a residence in Dalhousie.
Officers responded to the residence on MacKenzie Street around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday and found a man injured inside.
Police say a second man, who had also suffered injuries, had gone to a nearby house for help.
RCMP say they placed one of the men under arrest and both were transported to hospital for treatment, though the extent of their injuries was not released.
Police say Éric Laviolette appeared in court yesterday and was remanded into custody until his bail hearing on February 11.
The investigation relating to this incident is ongoing.
