Maritime Football eyes Moncton for potential CFL games

The group looking to bring a CFL team to Halifax is also eyeing the possibility of organizing games in Moncton.

Maritime Football was in the New Brunswick city this week meeting with league commissioner Randy Ambrosie and local officials, including Premier Brian Gallant and Moncton Mayor Dawn Arnold.

Maritime Football founding partner Anthony LeBlanc says it's still too early for Moncton football fans to begin a touchdown celebration.

But he says although the home base for the football team will be Halifax, it's important for it to be an Atlantic regional team.
