Mayor of Grande-Anse resigns citing health reasons

The village of Grande-Anse has one less representative in council chambers.

Mayor Reginald Boudreau announced his resignation on Tuesday, September 5th citing health reasons.

In a social media post Boudreau says his health requires more physical activity and that he's resigning to pursue a peaceful retirement.

He says the community is sure to continue growing.

Boudreau was elected mayor in 2016 and was also president of the Acadian Peninsula Mayors' Forum.
