Measles case confirmed at second high school in Saint John

The Telegraph-Journal reports the measles outbreak in Saint John has spread to include a second high school.

According to the paper, the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health issued a statement today that confirmed a case of the measles at Hampton High School.

This new case brings the total number of confirmed cases of the measles in New Brunswick to 12, with all of them reported in the Saint John area.

The paper said the statement said students who were at the school on Thursday May 30 and Friday May 31 may have been exposed to the infected individual.

An immunization clinic is being held at the high school for students and staff this weekend.
