Millions announced for addition of surgical suite at hospital in Moncton
(CP) - A New Brunswick hospital is getting a 21-million-dollar funding boost to add a surgical suite to its complex.
The province says it will provide the funds to the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton to continue the work on the suite.
The single-storey suite will also house a recovery room, day surgery unit, intensive care unit, a step-down unit along with other specialized assets.
The first two phases of the 100.5-million-dollars surgical suite project are complete, with work expected to be done by 2021.
