Mobile simulator teaches CCNB-Bathurst students how to drive truck

Students at CCNB-Bathurst are finding out what it's like to a tractor-trailer without the risk of getting into an accident.

A pair of tractor-trailer simulators have been making 12 week stops at colleges around the province, giving students practical experience in the industry which is experiencing a demand for drivers.

Instructor Stephane Cyr says the simulators allow students to learn at their own pace, are much safer and cheaper for operation costs.

Since the simulators were introduced, eighty per cent of trucking program graduates are working as truck drivers.
