Montreal woman arrested following significant seizure of pills near Saint-Jacques

Police say a 19-year-old Montreal woman has been arrested after officers seized a large quantity of pills near Saint-Jacques.

Members of the Saint-Léonard RCMP detachment conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 2 at around 2:30 a.m. on April 27.

RCMP say a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of what are thought to be 75,000 methamphetamine pills.

Police say the woman was released and will appear in court at a later date.

The investigation is ongoing and no further details were released.
