Motorcyclist could face charges after crashing into guardrail in Pokemouche

The driver of a motorcycle could face charges under the Motor Vehicle Act after crashing into a guardrail on the Acadian Peninsula over the weekend.

The crash happened Sunday afternoon on Route 11 in Pokemouche.

Witnesses say the 35-year-old man from Savoie Landing tried to overtake another vehicle before losing control of his bike.

He received serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

CKLE reports the man did not have a valid drivers license and that the motorcycle was not registered or insured.

Nobody else was injured.

Police believe speed may have been a factor in the crash.
