Mounties to crack down on rule-breaking ATV riders

RCMP in New Brunswick cracking down on ATV riders not following the rules.

Police in Moncton say numerous complaints have been coming in and remind ATV riders the fine is $292.50 for failing to follow the guidelines on roadways.

RCMP say all-terrain vehicles are only allowed to cross a roadway.

The New Brunswick Off-Road Vehicle Act states ATV's are prohibited from travelling on a public highway, the shoulder of a road or within 7.5 metres of a road unless on an approved trail.
