N.B. hits pause on exterior construction of Campbellton youth psychiatric facility
The provincial government has hit pause on the interior portion of construction at a youth psychiatric facility in Campbellton.
The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure says interior construction has been put on hold but that construction on the building's exterior will continue until a final decision is made on its future.
New Brunswick's youth advocate and former Ombud had argued Moncton would be a better location for the centre.
The Restigouche Regional Service Commission meanwhile, has resolved to resist any move that would result in a reduction of services out of Campbellton.
