N.B. Human Rights Commission releases updated Guildeline on Sexual Harassment
The New Brunswick Human Rights Commission has released an updated Guideline on Sexual Harassment as part of its ongoing mandate to promote human rights through educational resources and programs aimed at eliminating discriminatory practices.
This guideline is intended to help people understand their rights and responsibilities under New Brunswick's Human Rights Act.
Commission chair Nathalie Chiasson says many incidents of sexual violence still go underreported and that it's important people know there is help available.
Chiasson says the guidelines are an effective tool to educate employers, service providers, legal practitioners, employees and the general public about the act and how it works.
