N.B. man charged in connection with assault in Quebec
A Val-d'Amour man has been arrested in connection with a violent assault in Quebec last month.
20-year-old Eric Pitre stands charged with aggravated assault after a 25-year-old Acadian Peninsula man was allegedly assaulted by a group of people in Rimouski on July 21st.
The victim remains in hospital and Pitre has been released from custody on several conditions.
The investigation is on-going.
The case has been adjourned until August 26th.
The victim was in Rimouski attending a music festival.
