N.B. Tory leader calls on New Brunswickers to give a day to help with flood recovery efforts

As flood waters in southern New Brunswick finally begin to recede, Tory leader Blaine Higgs is calling on New Brunswickers to pitch in to help with recovery efforts.

Though the extent of the damage is not yet known, Higgs says a throng of volunteers will be required and is asking people to give up a day of their time to help.

While water levels are decreasing, Emergency Measures Organization's Geoffry Downey says it could be days before hundreds of evacuees are able to return home.
