Nature NB to hold AGM and annual festival in Chaleur region

An organization with a mission to celebrate, conserve and protect New Brunswick's natural heritage through education, networking and collaboration has decided to hold its annual general meeting and festival in the Chaleur region in 2018.

Nature New Brunswick's Janet Doucet says the organization has never held an event in this region, which she says is one of the most beautiful in the province.

Doucet says the Festival of Nature event typically attracts between two and three hundred members who tour host regions to see what there is to offer.

Doucet is requesting the use of the Paul Ouellette Room at the KC Irving Centre to hold the annual general assembly and to act as a coordination centre.

Mayor Paolo Fongemie says council will discuss the matter and deliver a decision at a later date.
