Nearly 400 NB Power customers in northern N.B. still without power

More than 50,000 New Brunswickers are still without power this morning after high winds ripped through the province over the weekend.

The province announced yesterday that restoration could take up to 72 hours.

Around 40 customers in the Chaleur region are still without power, along with 230 on the Acadian Peninsula, and another 131 in the Restigouche Region.

There are a little over 3,300 customers in the Miramichi area still without electricity with the majority of outages in the southern part of the province.

Around 100,000 utility customers across the Maritimes were in the dark at the peak of the outages, with the majority in New Brunswick.

Several warming and charging stations have been set up around the province.
