New Acadian Peninsula breakfast program will be offered to 5,000 students
A group on the Acadian Peninsula is aiming to raise $1 million over the next five years so students can start the school day on a full belly.
Acadian Peninsula Breakfast Foundation president Wanita McGraw says the program will be offered to more than 5,000 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
McGraw says the program will be universal so as to eliminate stigmas.
She says the foundation also wants to support existing breakfast and lunch programs already being offered in the community.
