New beer pays tribute to the Phantom Ship of the Bay of Chaleur

A world-renowned distillery in Petit-Pacquetville is coming out with a beer that pays tribute to the Chaleur region.

Fils du Roy's "Captain Craig" bears the name of the captain of a ship that sunk in the area during the 19th century, resulting in the legendary Phantom Ship of the Bay of Chaleur.

Bathurst artist Carole Doucet came up with the design for its label.

In June the company plans to launch another beer aimed at celebrating the 170th anniversary of Acadian poem Evangeline.
