New poll suggests most New Brunswickers worry about provincial debt
If you're worried about the province's debt, you'd have that in common with most New Brunswickers.
A new poll suggests 61 per cent of New Brunswickers are very concerned about the debt that's expected to balloon to over $14 billion by 2017-18.
Corporate Research Associate's chair Don Mills says provincial debt is a big issue across Atlantic Canada.
The most concern appears to be among residents aged 55 years and older as well as among Anglophone residents.
The poll shows people in the northern part of the province are less concerned than their neighbours in the south.
